Stephanie Adeniji

Program Associate - Video Production

Stephanie is from Nigeria and a recent alumnus from Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas. She received her Bachelors degree in broadcast communications in hopes of becoming an anchor and a multimedia journalist. My dream is to one day be an anchor for a news network like CNN or ABC's Good Morning America. Stephanie is working with DRP on video storytelling.

Program Associate

Liliane, also known as Lili, is a student from Germany. With a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science (International Relations) and a minor in Broadcast Journalism, she intends to graduate from Fresno State in the summer of 2025. With DRP, Lili is working with the Mudzi Wathu Community Radio in Mchinji, Malawi - assisting youth reporters with messaging on reproductive health issues.  In the future, Liliane plans to pursue a master’s program in international development with a focus on gender studies. She enjoys traveling and meeting people which is one of the reasons she is interested in international relations.

Mazmoon Chang

Business Development and Communications

Mazmoon works to support the fundraising and organizational development needs of DRP. Mazmoon is an undergraduate at the University of Delaware studying International Relations with a specialization in the Africa region and International Development.

Riley Coburn

Program Associate

Riley is a graduate of the University of Wyoming where she earned a Bachelor's degree in International Studies with concentrations in cultural/social issues and Europe and the former Soviet Union. This past year, she also graduated from the University of Strasbourg, France with a Certificate in European Studies. She is currently based in Laramie, Wyoming.

Program Associate

Jay is a student at the University of North Carolina Asheville where he is studying both History and Political Science. A rising junior, Jay hopes to graduate in the summer of 2027 to pursue a career with the Foreign Service. At DRP, Jay is working with our partners in Malawi to write profiles of the people and communities who have been positively impacted through their partnerships with DRP.

Trinity is a rising-senior at Villanova University who studies Spanish and Latin American Studies. She is interested in with working with immigrants at a non-profit after obtaining her master's in Public Administration. As a DRP associate, she's helping combat societal inequities through community-based media. 

Shayla Hassan

Program Associate

​Shayla is a graduating senior at San Diego State University, studying Political Science and Philosophy. She has a strong passion for the transformative power of media and is interested in news and media outreach to underfunded and underrepresented countries. With a deep understanding of the unique challenges within Sub-Saharan Africa, Shayla strives to bridge the gap between traditional radio and modern digital engagement as a DRP associate.

Business Development Associate

Sophia is a student from Australia, currently studying a degree in Social Science and Development Studies. After she graduates mid next year, Sophia intends to combine her interests in social theory and human rights to drive positive social change. Sophia is working alongside the youth in Malawi to hear their stories and amplify their voices - exploring the power of storytelling as a way to centre lived experience.

Peter Moreno

Business Development Manager

Peter is a graduate student at Northern Arizona University, where he pursues his master’s in Rhetoric, Writing, and Digital Media Studies. As a Program Associate, he currently assists in the review and revision of important documentation for maintaining DRP’s funding, supporting DRP’s partner stations in Malawi. Outside of his DRP duties, in an ongoing effort to combat mental health stigmatizations in the state of Montana, Peter works as a Care Manager helping to connect rural and indigenous families to valuable behavioral health resources.

Business Development Associate

Ayan is a third year student majoring in business administration and mathematics at Northeastern University in Boston. She is interested in fundraising and marketing and works on our social media campaigns. Ayan also does research and helps write proposals.
